The Propeller Club of Port Everglades is one chapter, or port, of the Propeller Club of the United States, which is one branch of the International Propeller Club.
Our club works to promote the maritime industry of Broward County. Additionally, club functions provide a venue for representatives of the companies and organizations that comprise the local maritime community to meet and develop relationships. We are also working to ensure the future of the U.S. maritime industry by offering scholarships to Florida residents studying for careers in the maritime industry. Through networking and participation by local officials, the club creates a forum for learning and interaction regarding legislative, public works, security, force protection and other issues that affect the local port and maritime industry.
As an organization, the Propeller Club is a grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to the enhancement and well-being of the interests of the maritime community on a national and international basis. The club’s membership includes representatives of ship operating companies, pilots’ associations, stevedoring companies, labor unions, tug operators, construction companies, warehousing companies and a variety of other maritime and port companies and organizations.
